The Aegean Odyssey 2016 | Embarks / Disembarks: Athens (Marina Zea), Greece

The wonders of the Aegean Islands and of Turkey, Santorini as fascinating as ever, or cosmopolitan Mikonos, Patmos and its UNESCO World Heritage sites, or Caledioscopic Kusadasi and Ephesus.



Day 1: Arrive meet and greet by our representative, transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Transfer from the hotel to board the ship M/Y CALLISTO and depart from Athens, Marina Zeas.

Day 3: Travel on to Los Manganari beach – Santorini is one of the most picturesque beaches of Los, located 23km south of Chora. The beach itself has golden sand and crystal waters. Due to its remote location and the long distance from Chora, the beach remains undisturbed from the noisy crowds most part of the day while it provides a fantastic opportunity to explore its natural surrounding. The secluded bay is protected from the strong winds offering calm swimming and snorkeling.

Day 4: Proceed from Los to Patmos, an Aegean island in the north of Greece’s Dodecanese island group, is a significant Christian pilgrimage site. Its Cave of the Apocalypse is where John of Patmos (St. John the Theologian) is said to have written the Book of Revelations. A fortress like, 11th- Century monastery dedicated to the saint overlooks the whitewashed houses of the hilltop capital, Hora. Chora is a great place to walk around the paved paths and enjoy a view of the Aegean Sea. The most tourist place of Patmos island is Skala, while relaxing beaches are found all over the island. 

Day 5: Travel on from Patmos island to Kusadasi, which means “bird island”. It is set in a superb gulf in the Aegean region of Turkey and is known for its turquoise sparkling water of the Sea, broad sandy beaches, bright sun and a large marina with a capacity for 600 boats. A jumping-off point for visiting the classical ruins at nearby Ephesus, points of interest House of the virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, Basilica of St. John, ladies Beach Kusadasi  & Pamukkale.

Day 6: Travel to Delos which lies a 30-minute sail southwest of Mykonos, only 5km (less than 1 mile) away. You can take an organized tour to Delos, or catch a boat from Chora Mykonos. Factoring in the return boat trips, stays on Delos are a maximum of six or seven hours and explore the beauty. Archaeological buffs and lovers of legends cannot miss a trip to the sacred island of Delos, the archaeological jewel of the Cyclades. Travelers can see firsthand where the ancients lived and clamber over the ruins they left behind. Held sacred as the mythological birthplace of Apollo, Delos was at the heart of the ancient world as an important religious and commercial center, reaching its zenith in the Hellenic period around the 5th century BC.

Day 7: Proceed from Mykonos to Tinos which is a Greek island situated in the Aegean Sea. It is located in the Cyclades archipelago. Tinos island is ideal for relaxing family holidays. The beaches are calm and sandy, surrounded by many tourist facilities and accommodation. The most traditional villages are located in the inland and they are famous for the picturesque architecture. Pyrgos is the most characteristic village of Tinos Greece, with a long tradition in marble carving. Apart from a calm holiday place. Tinos is famous amongst Greeks for the Church of Panagia Evangelistria, its 80 or so windmills.

Day 8: Travel on from Tinos to Kythnos a quiet island in the West Cyclades with beautiful sandy beaches and hot healing springs on one of the closest Greek Islands. Kythnos or Thermia is the first island of the ferry liners with destination west of Cyclades islands. With numerous beaches, Cycladic scenery (local stone walls called xerolithia) and the unique hospitality of the locals. Kythnos is always waiting to welcome you.

Day 9 & Day 10: After exploring & enjoying the above places & islands disembark at Athens (Marina Zea) and from there on transfer to the hotel, leisure for shopping and overnight at the hotel. Next day check out and proceed to the airport for the final destination.

The category cabins all have marble-appointed en suite bathrooms with showers. Cabins have individually controlled A/C and fitted with TV, telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.
